The Beauvais campus welcomed its first Erasmus Mundus Master Program in Plant Breeding intake on Thursday August 30 for the start-of-year seminar.
The 27 students, from around the world, attended several talks on the « What does the future hold for plant breeding? » theme. Partners of the project, UniLaSalle associate professors and people from outside the institution were present at the event.
Following this seminar, the students will be split between the two Master 1 host institutions: UniLaSalle and the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences.
The Master’s Program in Plant Breeding (emPLANT) is supported by five European institutions, including UniLaSalle. It has been awarded “Erasmus mundus” status by the European Union.
It is the only Erasmus Mundus Master’s program focused on plant breeding.
